The Wax Section was established in collaboration with the National Establishment for Crafts and was rehabilitated by the International Human Association – Canada in 2006/2007.
Its primary aim is to create employment opportunities, and play as an essential part of the approved treatment plans in the Hospital for Persons with Disabilities, due to its positive impact on mental health, self-confidence, and social inclusion.
Most of the candles are crafted by hand with innovative designs and unique decorative touches that give them a distinctive character. The workshop fulfills special orders for weddings, private events, and gifts, with the option to create custom logos or symbols according to the client’s preference. In addition, it produces a variety of handicrafts including beadwork, art panels, wool items, and embroidery.
