"مجمع الخدمات الاجتماعية الطبي – دار العجزة"… رعاية صحية ودفء إنساني في قلب طرابلس

In a scene reflecting the values of compassion and human solidarity, a humanitarian initiative was carried out at the “Social Services Medical Center – Dar Al-Ajaza” in Tripoli, involving the distribution of winter clothing to elderly residents and persons with disabilities. The initiative was implemented through a partnership between the “Center” and the Lebanese Food Bank, as part of the “Winter Campaign” organized by the Turkish charity association “Hajar Al-Sadaqa” in Lebanon.

This initiative reaffirms that the mission of the “Social Services Medical Center” extends beyond providing healthcare and medical services to encompass humanitarian and social dimensions as well. It seeks to create an environment that preserves the dignity of the elderly and addresses their living and psychological needs, particularly amid the current economic and climatic challenges.

The initiative also falls within the framework of the humanitarian partnerships adopted by the “Social Services Medical Center”, reaffirming its mission of combining treatment with compassionate care, and healthcare services with a strong human dimension, reflecting the image of Tripoli as a city alive with the values of solidarity and giving.

The Turkish charity association “Hajar Al-Sadaqa” is implementing its winter campaign in cooperation with the Lebanese Food Bank across several Lebanese regions, with the aim of supporting the most vulnerable groups through the provision of essential winter supplies, helping to ease the harshness of winter and strengthen the resilience of families and residents in care institutions.

The distribution event took place in the presence of Mr. Mohammad Ramadan representing the Lebanese Food Bank, Mr. Mujahid Shaheen representing the Turkish charity association “Hajar Al-Sadaqa,” Mrs. Leila Alameddine Karami, Head of the Women’s Support Committee at the Social Welfare Association, and Mr. Adel Saleh representing the Higher Relief Commission.

At the conclusion of the activity, officials from the “Center” organized an introductory tour of its departments and facilities, during which the delegation was introduced to the main medical, healthcare, and rehabilitation services provided to elderly residents, as well as the efforts undertaken to ensure comprehensive care that safeguards both their health and dignity.
